About Me

There is a really fun story behind Road Trip Blogger!

This blog was first launched in 2009 as a way of documenting some amazing road trip adventures I have been on.  I spent several years in university working towards my Bachelors Degree in Marketing. This was a great time to be a road tripper, as each semester there was a revolving door of new friends I could recruit to join me on various road trips. After several really amazing road trips under my belt, and one big adventure across Canada, and home through the US via New York to Seattle in one very small car, Road Trip Blogger was born.

Fast forward 10 years, as and I went through the immigration process into America, I removed my blog as well as my previous business in Canada.

I previously owned a Marketing Agency for over 10 years in Vancouver, Canada where I managed social media accounts for businesses across North America, as well as managed several travel writing contracts. While immigrating to the US, I shut down my business and took a few years off to go through the Green Card process.

Fast forward to 2024, I am now a Canadian Expat, with a US Green Card, back to share my amazing Texas adventures and road trip tips with everyone. Being in the south now, we have much easier access to many of the southern states. We do still travel back to Canada from time-to-time visiting family. As my little ones grow bigger, I’m excited to share my passion for travel with them as they grow and are able to come on more adventures.

My Biggest Achievements as a Road Tripper

I have hit several milestones in my career as a road tripper. One of my biggest achievements is making it through 49 US states, 10 Canadian provinces, and 2 Canadian territories, several of those while I was pregnant.

My other biggest achievement was not only launching my travel blog, but also becoming a travel writer. At one point in my career, I maintained several reoccurring travel blogs in various publications across North America. I was also featured on the Travel Channel’s blog as a road trip expert. What an amazing accomplishment.

Mission Statement

My mission for Road Trip Blogger is to share my road trip experiences, in hopes to inspire others to hit the road, whether it be in a small car, a luxurious RV, or simply a VanLife Van, anything to get you out exploring North America, and beyond.

Driving across the country can be a daunting and overwhelming experience for many. I know it was for me the first time we planned a big trip. Where do we stay, where do we shower, what attractions to see, and most importantly, how to save money while road tripping.

My goals for Road Trip Blogger are to not only share my own personal experiencing from the road, but also share helpful tips to make your own road tripping experiences much smoother than mine have been.

My focus for my road trips was North America, or more specifically, anywhere I could get to by car.

Let’s hit the road
